The North London Morning Orchestra was founded in 1985, and originally called The Senior Citizen's Light Orchestra. It was originally aimed at giving people over 60 an opportunity to get together and play a variety of music (the orchestra now has, and welcomes, members of all ages!). The orchestra was founded by ex-army bandman Harry Susans, who went on to conduct the orchestra for the next 30 years and well into his 90's!
We have now accumulated over 400 scores of music, and change the programme every month so members gain excellent sight reading skills.
